I commissioned Marina to make me a horsehair necklace, using hair from a mare I lost suddenly 5 years ago at 27
years old, and from my 29 year old gelding. The three of us were partners for 23 years. Marina tailored a stunning piece from both my horses’ hair braided together to make the main necklace. It is made with 9ct gold and is finished with a stunning tassel, made from hair from my 3 ½ month old foal I lost earlier this year.
